Instaskills
Over the years working in public health, I've noticed that the field is evolving and changing with the times. In the UK, there has been the structural changes in the NHS, the movement to more upstream work with local authorities and a growth in the adaptation of public health in business, pharmaceutical industry, political and advocacy interests.
Here in Instaskills, I hope to capture some of the skills and knowledge that a jobbing public health manager, registrar or consultant may need in their daily activities. The intention is to be quick summaries that you can absorb and be able to use in your work life. This includes communicating to the public, dealing with the media, health promotion, changing behaviours, social media and managerial skills.
